The Story Behind Recipe Exposé
Great Food From a Long Line of Home Cooks
For me, being in the kitchen with my family is where my love of cooking comes from. Seeing how my family put their own spin and techniques on the food they cooked taught me how versatile ingredients are. Smelling the aromas of good food and seeing the completed dishes is what inspired me to cook. It truly shows why Mom said "No recipe is ever final."
Becoming Motivated to Create Cookbooks
Although we love dining out, cooking at home works best for my family. We all bring our ideas in the kitchen and enjoy a little friendly competition preparing meals.
I remember being in the kitchens helping my mom at a young age washing vegetables, peeling onions, and looking forward to the meal finally being done. That was my start as a sous-chef.
I enjoyed a variety of cuisines growing up. Dinner time was always exciting, and I couldn't wait to eat! The house was always filled with aromas that made me ask, "Is it ready yet?"
Mom taught me about spices, which spices are best with certain ingredients, and how to measure each ingredient. Although, I don't remember her measuring anything when she cooked, she just knew what was needed to make that special dish.
That's where my love of cooking comes from. Mom always said that no recipe is final; it can always be added to. She brought her dishes to life.
As you may have guessed, I'm a cook and have been cooking for five years. I enjoy cooking in my spare time. Cooking allows me to experiment in the kitchen. It allows me to be creative and explore new ideas with food.
My kitchen is my canvas, and I look forward to sharing my creativity through food with you."
